How do I get there?
We are located in Mykonos island , which is easily accessible by plane either directly from El. Venizelos Airport of Athens (approximate cost 70 US dollars each way) or from many major European cities that have direct charter flights to Mykonos Airport.

Upon your arrival to the Airport a 15 minute taxi ride will bring you to Paradise beach, where we are located.

Another option once you are in Athens is to come by boat.
There are two ports where you can catch a ferry, either in Piraeus port or Rafina port.
Schedules vary on a seasonal basis but as a general rule you have either morning ferries (07:30-08:30 am.) or afternoon ferries (16:00-17:30) on a daily basis.
You have the possibility to choose between regular or high speed ferries.
Regular may take five or six hours depending on the departure port, and high speed between two to three and a half hours.

How do I get there once in Mykonos island?
Our Dive Center is located on the South side of Mykonos island, at Paradise Beach. It is only 6 km. from Mykonos town and we are easily accessible either by a direct bus transport from Mykonos town (approximately 20 minutes) or by taxi (approximately 10 minutes).

You may also call from any of the hotels you are staying a taxi to bring you straight to our facility. Cost of the ride depends on the location of your hotel.

Another possibility, if you are staying in Platy Yialos beach, is to take the water-taxi to bring you straight to Paradise beach.

What clothes to bring?
Although the weather is very nice and sunny throughout the summer season, it is possible to rain sometimes in early May or mid to late September.
For the months of April, May and October bring warm clothes with you because you will need them especially in the evening hours.
For the rest of the summer months there is no need to bring heavy weather clothes, but we do suggest that you bring with you some warm clothes such as a sweatshirt because it does get windy and chilly.

And don't forget your suntan lotion and moisture cream as it is a must for the whole summer.

What is the water temperature?

May 16-18 degrees Celsius 61-65 degrees Fahrenheit
June 18-20 65-68
July 20-24 68-75
August 20-24 68-75
September 19-22 66-72
October 18-20 65-68

A thermocline between 20 to 30m. during the summer is not uncommon so a wetsuit of five mm. will do the job just fine.

 DIVERS INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS

Welcome to DIVE ADVENTURES. We would like to thank you for choosing us as your educational facility. Our staff and instructors will do everything possible to make your diving experience fun and safe.

INTRODUCTORY SCUBA - No Experience Necessary

THE BEST THING YOU WILL DO THIS HOLIDAY!

Ever since you were a kid, you probably wanted to try scuba diving.
Now you need only invest a few minutes to find out firsthand what diving is like. That's because our Discover Scuba experience can have you under water, breathing air, in no time at all. Discovering scuba is simple, easy and fun. It's the most convenient way we know to experience the actual sensation of scuba diving. Here is how we do it: Upon your arrival, you will watch a very enjoyable 20 min. video that describes all the do's and don'ts of diving. Then your instructor will make sure that you properly understand all the safety aspects, will explain all the procedures and will demonstrate how to use all the diving equipment. Afterwards, we'll outfit you, in Safety Tested equipment, that allows you to explore the marine life of the colourful reef with your hands as well as your eyes. A sort walk to the water line, you will practice in shallow water the very basic exercises that were described to you previously so that that you may be familiarised with the equipment and the underwater environment. Now, you are ready for your guided tour. Breath underwater and mingle with the fish as you discover the underwater world. And if you would like to find out how easy it is to continue diving, once you've tried it, we'll be happy to explain that too. Our instructors have extensive experience in training people in the recreation of Scuba Diving and in enjoying the exciting world beneath the sea. To find out how quickly you can be scuba diving, contact any member of our team. Our next introduction to Scuba Diving is surprisingly close and convenient. Join us and discover over the earth's last frontier.

OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVER

The DIVE ADVENTURES Open Water program is an entry level certification course in scuba diving. This exciting program includes a minimum of 12 hours of academic study in the areas of diving physics, physiology, medicine, environment and dive safety. In addition to the classroom, which is conveniently located only a moments' walk from the beach, a minimum of 12 training hours, in confined water, and 5 open water dives are required with emphasis placed on physical fitness, diving hazards, personal limitations and the behaviour needed to function as a diver. This can be accomplished over a period of 4 days, in an intensive, private program, which includes 2 theory lessons and 2 dives daily. Open Water graduates will be competent in basic Open Water diving activities, and will receive a certification card, honoured throughout the diving world. We are proud of our extensive experience in Scuba Diver training to all levels. Our instructors are certified by the world's largest certification agencies.
Who should take the Open Water Scuba Diving program? People who are comfortable in the water and wish to pursue diving as a recreation or potential career. The Open Water certification is the heart of every diving program and your key to the diving world, wherever you go for holiday.
Minimum age: 12 years old (junior open water designation)

ADVANCED SCUBA DIVER

The DIVE ADVENTURES Advanced Scuba Diver program is a mid-level continuing education course, which is more detailed than the Open Water course and is for divers who have completed the Open Water program or equivalent training. A major advantage of this course is to be able to confidently dive in local waters under various conditions. You will have new dive buddies, local diving "hot spots" and increase your diving experience. The Advanced Diver course will open your eyes to natural navigation, night diving, deep diving, search and light salvage diving, boat diving plus much more. The course consists of 8 open water dives and is designed to increase diving enjoyment and improve basic skills as well as introduce new underwater activities. Advanced Scuba Diver graduates are able to plan detailed dives and do underwater tasks like navigation and search and recovery. Who should take the Advanced Scuba Diver program? Divers seeking continued education to increase skill level and learn new underwater activities and divers who have moved from one diving area to another and need orientation to new dive sites and environments.
Prerequisite: Open Water Diver Minimum age 15.

RESCUE DIVER

The DIVE ADVENTURES Rescue Diver Course, that you will be taking, is a must for every diver; whether your interests in diving are strictly recreational or professional. Diving is a social sport with more people getting involved every day. With this in mind, you will learn how to identify potentially hazardous situations, so that they may be avoided by you and your diving partners. Another topic discussed thoroughly, and one of major importance is the ability to handle stressful situations and self rescues. The Rescue Diver course will soon become to diving what First Aid and CPR have become to us in every day life. But, the best thing about the Rescue Diver course is that if everyone were to take it, no one would ever need to use it. Wouldn't that be great! So, do your part for continued diver safety and enroll now in our next Rescue Course.
Prerequisites: Medic First Aid Course or equivalent, Advanced Scuba Diver.
